Leaving A Dent In The Universe

Nimisha Jain - Intern at The Financial Doctors

When I decided to pursue Chartered Accountancy little did I know that this path is going to be extremely difficult. It took a good number of attempts to clear the second level of the course. I am still stuck at the Final level. This course has taught me two most important things and they are, being patient and how to take failures. As time went by, I realized that I do not want to do a “9 to 5 Job” sitting at one desk for my life doing monotonous work. I want to travel the world and work on my own terms. Sounds cliché and unrealistic. But I believe in this dream and no matter what the world says I refuse to give up on it.

The financial market as an outsider always intrigued me even when I was a child because I had seen my father being an active investor. But I never thought of pursuing it as a career.

Everything in this world happens for a reason they say. When I was at an all-time low in my academic career, an important person in my life showed immense trust in me, believed in my potential and suggested me to try a hand in Financial markets. I started trading on my own after doing some research. Did not do that well for obvious reasons. I knew if I want to pursue this full time then I need a mentor who can guide me. That is when I came across The Financial Doctors Internship Programme. Mr Vishwa Kalra my mentor has taken a great initiative to spread education in this field. He has been a great guide for all the interns. Almost 4 weeks into the internship programme and I have learned a lot about the market already. I started Trading and I can see an improvement.

I wish to be a Professional Trader one day. For me, this field is a gateway to my dream life, to gaining ultimate independence and pursuing the path to leaving my dent in this universe.
